We are heartbroken at the news that another mother and child have fallen victim to the horrors of legal abortion in this country. Last week, a 29 year-old woman, with her whole life ahead of her, walked into LeRoy Carhart’s office and never walked out. Dr. Carhart did more than just end the life of her eight month child-in-utero, he ended hers.
Carhart has a long history of abhorrent practices at his late-term abortion facilities. He should have been shut down a long time ago. If he had, this mother and child and countless others would still be alive today. He needs to be stopped immediately.
We pray for this young woman and her family and recommit ourselves to abolishing all abortion so that never again will a woman feel that killing the life within her is her only choice. So that never again will a pre-born child have his or her life snuffed out in the womb. So that never again will butchers like LeRoy Carhart be legally allowed to take the life of mother and child.

At 4 million births in the United States in 2012, at a rate of 14 deaths per 100000 births gives you 560 maternal deaths every year. This number has risen since 1987. The risk of death associated with abortion before 12 weeks (with 88% of abortions performed during this time) is 1 death per 1 millions abortions.
All medical procedures carry some risk.

So is this woman just collateral damage to you? A statistic to be swept under the rug? An acceptable sacrifice on the altar of choice?

Funny how you didn’t provide some statistics on abortion AFTER 12 weeks, when Dr. Carhart performs them. This one was at 33! weeks. That is extremely dangerous, even the most ardent pro-aborts must recognize this.

Jennifer McKenna Morbelli was not just a statistic to us. We will honor her life by saying never again will another woman be harmed by unsafe, legal abortion in this country!
